Shut in with God
enclosed in the secret place of the heart
I go searching through the chambers to find Him.
Calling His name I reach out in the darkness to come near His Light.
He is waiting as usual
waiting for me to come before Him
to seek Him out.
Always waiting..
How long have I kept you Lord?
A day
a year
a lifetime?
I am always stumbling around in the dark looking for You
and here You are!
Always right here
in the deepest centre of my being
waiting..
